My first blog is dedicated to a place which has become an indispensible part of my life today...without which I cannot even imagine me going to my workplace daily..it has eased my life so much that I can't even describe in words...Its a place where my mind engulfs into a pool of thoughts and enters into my dream world…And my debut blog comes out from that plethora of thoughts and ideas…

And this is not only my story but I guess, every Delhiite would agree with this...

Yes, I'm talking about 'DELHI METRO' - One of the fastest means to commute in Delhi..And a reliable, safer, cleaner and comfortable mode of transport...A well connected network of Delhi Metro has reduced the distances in Delhi…Today most of us prefer to use Metro to go wherever we want to...either to college or office or shopping or any other place...Metro always prove to be our saviour.

I selected Metro to start with because I spend around 2-3 hours daily travelling in Metro...Having no work, I just pass time listening music, thinking & imagining about lots of not so related things..wandering into my dream world..and building castles in the air..And watching people whom I don’t know but still I recognize them by their faces...

Yes, though we don't know them but since we travel at the same time regularly, we get to know many of them...And we recognize each other..at times greet each other with a smile..And sometimes we even start talking..And in some days, 2 people who didn't even know each other, turned into best buddies :)

For me, Metro has also turned out to be a meeting place with my friends...From the day I have changed my job, I always try to match my timings with my friends from previous office...And then we have a great time chit-chatting and travelling together :)

This is my Life in A Metro and I love it!!

P.S.: Stay tuned for some of my real life experiences in the metro in the upcoming blogs.

  1. Very well written indeed...connects directly to most of the people of Delhi today.
"Yes, though we don't know them but since we travel at the same time regularly, we get to know many of them...And we recognize each other..at times greet each other with a smile". Read this line & that whole scene of the movie WEDNESDAY flashed before my eyes when Nasiruddin Shah was telling his train experiences.
Nevertheless, most interesting part begins now...your real life experiences as you mentioned at the end...will be looking forward to read them.
Kudos to you for coming up with such a nice blog first up..!!! :)

  3. Thanks Rahul for your words of appreciation & encouragement :)
Though the lines mentioned by you resemble the ones from the movie, but they are narrating my personal experience and I guess every person who commutes through metro regularly, feels the same...And I'll try to come up with more of my experiences :)
